Meet Our Dentists
Dr. Christine Altrock
Dr. Altrock is the Owner and a dedicated general dentist at Altrock Fabb Dental, where she is passionate about helping patients improve both their oral health and confidence through personalized care. She began her academic journey at UCLA before earning a master’s degree in Epidemiology from the University of Washington in Seattle. While working part-time in research, she discovered her passion for dentistry and went on to attend NYU College of Dentistry, where she further developed her love for the profession. After graduating, Dr. Altrock completed a dental residency at USC, gaining valuable experience treating veterans at the VA Hospital and medically complex patients at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center. She later moved to San Diego, where she and Dr. Fabb worked together in private practice.
Dr. Altrock chose dentistry because it allows her to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives, improving not only their health but also their confidence. She knew she was in the right profession during dental school, where she found joy in working with her hands and viewed each procedure as a unique work of art. She has a strong professional interest in sleep dentistry and is especially passionate about educating patients on the serious health risks associated with untreated sleep apnea. Her commitment to excellence extends beyond the practice, as she has been deeply involved in local, state, and national dental associations, serving in leadership roles and as a delegate for both state and national organizations. Her dedication has earned her numerous honors, including Top 40 Under 40 Dentists in 2020, consistent Top Dentist awards since 2018, and prestigious nominations to the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Dentists.
Outside of the office, Dr. Altrock cherishes her role as a mother to her young daughter, with another child on the way. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially exploring San Diego’s beaches, building sandcastles, and paddleboarding. Family outings often include visits to SeaWorld, the zoo, and the safari park, where they love seeing a variety of animals. She also enjoys traveling and has fond memories of visiting national parks, including a recent winter trip to Yellowstone to see bison and elk. In her free time, Dr. Altrock stays active through running and working out, embracing a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Dr. Brian Fabb
Brian Fabb, Owner and Dentist, brings a unique blend of East Coast roots and West Coast lifestyle to his practice. Originally from New York, Brian attended Syracuse University before heading west to San Diego in search of warmer weather. After several years of travel and exploration, he returned to New York to pursue his dental education at New York University’s College of Dentistry. Following graduation and residency training, he gained experience in private practice and served as part-time faculty at NYU. However, his connection to Pacific Beach drew him back in 2010, where he has since become an active and dedicated member of the local community.
Brian was drawn to dentistry because it perfectly combines his appreciation for both art and science, allowing him to engage his creative and analytical strengths. He is passionate about helping patients improve not only their oral health but also their confidence and overall well-being. One of the most defining moments in his career came when a patient shared that they finally felt comfortable smiling in photos after years of embarrassment. Experiences like this continue to affirm Brian’s commitment to his profession and the meaningful impact it has on people’s lives.
Professionally, Brian is deeply involved in volunteerism and leadership within the dental field, particularly through the San Diego County Dental Society. As the first dentist in his family, he takes pride in forging his own path and is committed to supporting and mentoring fellow colleagues. Outside of the office, Brian fully embraces the Southern California lifestyle. He enjoys spending time at the beach with family and friends, exploring local breweries, attending live music events, and visiting museums and parks. A passionate cook, he loves preparing family recipes and perfecting everything from seafood dishes to classic New York-style breakfast sandwiches. Whether discussing dentistry, sharing travel tips, or chatting about sports and music, Brian brings enthusiasm and a genuine connection to everything he does.
Manhttan and Peanut

Dr. Altrock and Fabb would like to introduce their rescue pups, Manhattan and Peanut. Manhattan was adopted when he was only 3 months old and 15 pounds from Helen Woodward. He was one of three puppies found along the side of the road in Los Angeles! He is now over 106 pounds but still thinks he is a small pup when he comes to cuddle next you on the couch! After Manhattan’s puppy days, the doctors volunteered fostering dogs through California Labradors and More Rescue in 2018 since Manhattan liked being social with other dogs.
Peanut is a toy poodle that belonged to Dr Fabb’s father. As another native New Yorker he has adjusted quite well to San Diego and sleeping in the sun.
Manhattan and Peanut love chasing birds and playing in the water. Although you will not meet the pups at the office, you can find them running around Mission Bay with Dr. Altrock or out on the water on stand up paddle boards!
